RevCloud is a series of palimpsests assembled from architectural working drawings. The constituent drawings were used to fabricate parts of a typical Shophouse, the Bangkok building where Savinee Buranasilapin and Tom Dannecker, principals of thingsmatter, live and work.
Overlaying several pages of information transforms the documents from tools of calculation and communication into textured abstractions. Fragmentary notes and partially legible forms emerge through the dense cloud of lines, hinting at the deeply personal labors of drawing, revising, measuring, and making that are embodied, but not always visible, in finished architecture.
